GRAORAC: IT IS IMPORTANT TO GATHER AND REMEMBER FIGHTERS WHO DEFENDED SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 26 /SRNA/ - The President of the Republic Organization of Families of Captured and Killed Fighters and Missing Civilians Isidora Graorac told SRNA, on the occasion of the upcoming Assembly of the Veteran Population in Han Pijesak, that it is very important for the Serbian people to gather, especially the former fighters who defended Republika Srpska.

"It is important that the people who survived and defended our Republika Srpska gather, because thanks to them we live in peace and freedom today," Graorac pointed out.

According to her, it is significant that the culture of remembrance is passed on to the generations that are growing up now and do not remember the war events and everything that befell the Serbs in these areas.

She stated that togetherness, respect for the family, as well as moral, national, and all other values that are important to Serbs and which they have preserved for centuries, should be nurtured.

"We must pass all of this on to our descendants to ensure that we will survive as a people in this region," Graorac said.

The Assembly will be held on Sunday, August 30, at the Komnica picnic area near Han Pijesak, starting at 12:00 PM.

It is also planned to lay the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Jela Motel near Han Pijesak, which played a fateful role for freedom and Republika Srpska.
