BANJALUKA, JUNE 25 /SRNA/ - Security and counter-terrorism expert Dževad Galijašević states that the security services of Republika Srpska must protect and strictly guard the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, as well as other officials, emphasizing that information about possible threats coming from Konjic must not be ignored.
Galijašević told SRNA that verified information from intelligence agencies in Republika Srpska and BiH indicates that certain businessmen and companies in Konjic are, unfortunately, ready to finance the assassination of President Dodik with one million Euros.
"They have collected that money, which is what can be expected from Konjic - a place of brutal war crimes where children were burned, people were killed, and of concentration camps during the last war. This town is the origin of the Fourth Muslim Brigade, their special unit, and their radical commander Nezim Halilović Muderis," said Galijašević.
He also pointed out that the well-known judge Sena Uzunović comes from Konjic. She had previously covered up war crimes committed against Serbs and participated in a staged trial against Dodik before the unconstitutional Court of BiH.
"There is a clear potential from Konjic for carrying out terrorist attacks and assassinations. There is enough hatred and training there. So, this must be taken seriously, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs must ensure the protection of President Dodik," Galijašević stated.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, recently emphasized that the police of Republika Srpska have, over the years, demonstrated their capacity to protect all protected persons and government facilities, including President Milorad Dodik, whose security has been under threat for some time.
President Dodik himself, commenting on the reports about a planned assassination attempt, said that names and motives of those involved must be revealed quickly, publicly, and clearly. He added that he does not feel threatened, but rather very safe under the protection of the police forces of Republika Srpska and Serbia.
