BANJA LUKA, MAY 16 /SRNA/ - The University of Banja Luka plans to enroll 2,600 students in the new academic year, most of whom will be funded through the state budget, Rector Radoslav Gajanin told SRNA.
"Our enrollment request for this year is around 2,600 students. Of that number, the largest share will be budget-funded students, practically close to 2,000," Gajanin said in SRNA's podcast.
He stated that the publication of the enrollment competition is expected soon.
"The entrance exam is planned for late June or early July," Gajanin specified.
Gajanin invited high school graduates to carefully choose their study programs and to consider the University of Banja Luka as their first choice.
"They can be confident that the quality of study programs and education at the University of Banja Luka is at the highest level, and that the knowledge they will gain is absolutely comparable to what they could achieve at any other university," Gajanin emphasized.
He stressed that study programs have been modernized and aligned with labor market needs.
"The share of practical instruction has increased year by year, and we have now reached a level where more than 50 percent of classes include practical teaching or mandatory student internships organized in cooperation with the business sector," Gajanin said.
He added that strong cooperation with the business community has been achieved, although there is still room for further improvement.
