BANJA LUKA, MAY 15 /SRNA/ – Radoslav Gajanin, Rector of the University of Banja Luka, told SRNA that in recent years study and working conditions at the institution have been significantly improved, and that student standards are among the best in the region.

Gajanin said that the University of Banja Luka plans to enroll 2,600 students in the new academic year, most of whom will be financed from the budget.

"Our request for enrollment this year is around 2,600 students. The majority will be budget-funded, practically close to 2,000 students," Gajanin said in a SRNA podcast.

He noted that the call for applications is expected soon.

"Еntrance exams are planned for late June or early July," Gajanin specified.

He says the construction of the Science and Technology Park of Republika Srpska at the university campus in Banja Luka will be key for strengthening cooperation between the university and the economy, as well as for developing new ideas and companies.

Speaking about international cooperation, Gajanin said that an improvement in cooperation with American universities is expected.

"We expect a delegation from Yale University to visit the University of Banja Luka in the coming period," he announced.

The new episode of the SRNA podcast featuring Rector Radoslav Gajanin will be available tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. to service subscribers, as well as on social networks and the SRNA YouTube channel.
