FRONDA MEETS WITH SOKOLAC MAYOR TO DISCUSS LOCAL DEVELOPMENTS

SOKOLAC, NOVEMBER 5 /SRNA/ - EUFOR Commander Maurizio Fronda met today with Sokolac Mayor Strahinja Bašević to discuss developments at the local level and issues affecting local communities.

EUFOR said in a statement that it was important for the mission to maintain contact with local authorities, adding that respecting local perspectives and keeping channels of communication open helped strengthen relations across BiH.

“EUFOR remains committed to maintaining a visible, credible and impartial presence and providing support to the authorities in BiH in their efforts to maintain a safe and stable environment for all,” the statement said.

The meeting in Sokolac is part of Fronda’s ongoing visits to local authorities across BiH.
