ĐOKIĆ: FULL SUPPORT TO SINIŠA KARAN'S CANDIDACY FOR PRESIDENT

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 1 /SRNA/ - Socialist Party /SP/ fully supports Siniša Karan’s candidacy for the president of Republika Srpska in early elections, said SP leader Petar Đokić.

Đokić pointed out that the early elections scheduled for November 23 are the result of political injustice done to the legally elected President Milorad Dodik, whose removal from office was carried out without democratic procedures and without the consent of the citizens.

"In such circumstances, going to the polls represents a responsibility towards Republika Srpska and its institutions," said Đokić.

According to him, Siniša Karan has proven his exceptional abilities in the politics of Srpska, he is a proven patriot, an expert in the field of law, a professor of constitutional law, a former minister of the interior, and currently the minister for scientific and technological development and higher education.

Đokić stated that Karan's career, shaped through key security, legal and political functions, confirms his ability to perform the duties of president of the Republika Srpska with dignity and success, the SP announced.

"At a time when BiH is in a deep political and institutional crisis, we expect that Professor Dr. Siniša Karan, thanks to his knowledge and experience, will responsibly approach the role of the President of the Republic and contribute to preserving the stability and constitutional order of Republika Srpska," Đokić emphasized.

He concluded that the SP firmly believes that Karan will successfully carry out the function of the president of Republika Srpska, in accordance with the interests of the people and the institutions he represents.

SNSD president Milorad Dodik said earlier that Siniša Karan is the party's candidate for president of Republika Srpska.
