DODIK’S ACQUITTAL - THE ONLY CORRECT AND POSSIBLE JUDGMENT

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 14 /SRNA/ - Lawyer and head of the Serb Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Milan Petković, expects the Appellate Panel of the unconstitutional Court of BiH to uphold the appeal filed by the defence team of the Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and to render the only correct and possible decision- the acquittal.

Petković told SRNA that, in this particular case, no criminal offense had been committed.

"There is no offense in this case, and I believe there was no basis for raising the indictment in the first place because the president of Republika Srpska was simply doing his job," said Petković.

The Appellate Panel of the unconstitutional Court of BiH held a session in the second-instance proceedings in the case against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the Srpska Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić. A final decision is expected within a month.

President Dodik was initially sentenced by a first-instance ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity for "non-compliance with the decisions" of Christian Schmidt, while Lukić was acquitted of the charges.
