DODIK WISHES NETANYAHU SUCCESS IN UPCOMING ISRAELI ELECTIONS

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 21 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik has wished Benjamin Netanyahu success ahead of Israel's parliamentary elections, saying Netanyahu's long political career has been marked by efforts to ensure that preserving the identity of the Jewish people, citizens' security and the survival of Israel remain key national priorities.

At a time of major geopolitical challenges, Dodik said friendships based not on immediate interests but on deep mutual understanding, respect and trust were particularly valuable.

He stressed that relations between Republika Srpska and Israel were also founded on these principles.

"The Serbian and Jewish peoples share a history that has taught us that freedom, security and the right to our own identity can never be taken for granted. We must fight persistently and tenaciously for them every day," Dodik said.

He added that this shared history fostered mutual understanding that transcended passing political interests and international circumstances.

Dodik noted that Netanyahu had occupied a central place in Israel's political life for decades and that his long political career had been marked by efforts to ensure that preserving the identity of the Jewish people, citizens' security and the survival of the State of Israel remained key national priorities.

Netanyahu's terms in office, he added, had included economic growth and reforms, the development of international partnerships and diplomatic initiatives such as the Abraham Accords.

At the same time, Dodik said, Israel had consolidated its position as one of the world's leaders in technology and innovation.

Dodik said Republika Srpska followed these achievements and recognized the importance of Netanyahu's long political career.

"My meetings and conversations with him have further strengthened mutual respect and trust, as well as our commitment to continuing friendly relations. I wish the Israeli people peace, security and a stable future. My friend, I stand firmly with you and your people," Dodik posted on X.
