BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ - The president of the SNSD Milorad Dodik emphasized today in Banja Luka that this political party will not participate in the elections called by the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH, as it respects the conclusions of the Republika Srpska National Assembly.
"The SNSD will not participate in the elections because it respects the conclusions of the highest legislative body of Republika Srpska," Dodik said at a session of the Main Board of the Republika Srpska SNSD Youth Organization.
He believes that the SNSD's coalition partners will not participate in the elections either.
The CEC of BiH has decided that the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska will be held on November 23.
Republika Srpska, according to the conclusions of the National Assembly of August 22, rejected the possibility of holding early elections for the president of Republika Srpska and requested that all authorities of Srpska and local self-government units refrain from undertaking any actions related to their implementation.
At that time, the Republika Srpska National Assembly adopted a decision to call a referendum regarding the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH on the termination of his mandate, setting the referendum date for October 25.
The referendum question reads: "Do you accept the decisions of the unelected foreigner, Christian Schmidt, and the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH issued against the President of Republika Srpska, as well as the decision of the CEC to terminate the mandate of the President of Srpska Milorad Dodik?"
