DODIK: WE WILL NOT ABANDON REFERENDUM

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 23 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska is not abandoning the referendum, Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik stated today.

“We are awaiting the decision of the Constitutional Court of Republika Srpska, and then we will fully engage in the political process affirming the referendum,” Dodik said at a press conference following sessions of the SNSD Executive Committee and Presidency in Banja Luka.

He added that they will act in accordance with the decisions of the National Assembly until the formal conditions for holding the referendum are established.

“No one should challenge the referendum. The Constitutional Court of Republika Srpska has not yet completed its work. Today is the last day for the Bosniak Caucus in the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples, and they are waiting to prolong the situation and submit their remarks to the Constitutional Court, thereby preventing the planned activities from proceeding as expected,” Dodik explained.
