DODIK: VUČIĆ'S STATESMANLIKE DECISION NOT TO GO TO BRUSSELS; KOMŠIĆ CANNOT REPRESENT BiH

BANJA LUKA, December 16 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić's decision not to attend the EU-Western Balkans summit is rational, statesmanlike and fully understandable, adding that a single member of the Presidency, Željko Komšić, cannot represent Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The hypocrisy and lack of respect that the Brussels bureaucracy shows toward Serbia and the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija and in Republika Srpska can no longer be accepted or tolerated," Dodik wrote on the social network X.

He added that the Serbian people are being asked to accept conditions that no nation would accept and to make concessions that no nation would make.

"President Vučić's position represents a defense of the dignity of Serbia and the Serbian people and of their right to equality with other nations," Dodik stressed.

He noted that the EU is simultaneously demonstrating a humiliating attitude toward Bosnia and Herzegovina by disregarding its constitutional structure.

Dodik pointed out that the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a collective body that makes decisions by consensus, and therefore a single member, Željko Komšić, cannot represent BiH.

"The position of Republika Srpska is clear and resolute - partnership, yes; humiliation, never," Dodik said.
