BRUSSELS, OCTOBER 15 /SRNA/ - Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez have expressed dissatisfaction with the Irish EU presidency's proposal for the bloc's long-term budget, Reuters reports.
Mitsotakis said that Greece was not satisfied with the proposal and would not accept cuts to agricultural and cohesion spending. He added that the EU should explore additional measures to support energy consumers, alongside national aid programmes.
Sánchez said the proposal was "not enough" to help the EU address current challenges and that Madrid would fight to expand it.
