PESHAWAR, OCTOBER 15 /SRNA/ - The death toll from the collapse of a school roof in the Pakistani city of Peshawar has risen to 29, including 28 children, Pakistani media reported.
Earlier media reports said that at least 17 children and a teacher had been killed and more than 30 people injured when the roof of a private school collapsed in Peshawar, in northwestern Pakistan.
In July, an educational center under construction collapsed in Lahore, killing four school-age children.
Construction accidents are common in Pakistan because building standards are poorly enforced.
Buildings are constructed using substandard materials, while safety regulations are ignored to reduce costs.
