DOBOJ, SEPTEMBER 21 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milodar Dodik said that it is time to correct historical injustices towards the Serb people, who want to do it in peace.

"Today, after 30 years, we have the right to say and tell the US President Donald Trump that the solution for BiH was /Bill/ Clinton's mistake," said Dodik.

President of Srpska reminded that Henry Kissinger once said that there is no Bosnian nation, language and state, and it doesn't matter that in 1995, they thought that they won by signing the Dayton Peace Agreement - it is not a victory and it will never end in this way.

"It's time for historical injustices to be corrected and we want it to happen in peace. We want to live in peace with our neighbors, but we want to be on our own. Free us from /Christian/ Schmidt," said Dodik in Boljanić near Doboj at the commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the rescue of allied pilots from Ozren in Operation Halyard.

Dodik pointed out that these are the demands of the Serb people, who want to live freely and elect their own presidents.

"We will not be tried and judged by Muslim judges, we will not live with people who are our pathological enemies," said Dodik.

President of the Srpska emphasized that the Serb people are libertarian and have always fought for the freedom of everyone in these areas.

"The situation is improving for us. It did not affect us when Michael Murphy ruled in Sarajevo last year and forbade representatives of the US Embassy to come to Boljanić. I thank representatives of the US Embassy and the colonel of the US Army for being here today," said Dodik.

He pointed out that it is normal that they are in Boljanić today, because it is a common event and a common history.

"We are grateful to you for being here and it proves to us that American policy must be balanced and respect the facts. I expect that through dialogue we will do everything to better understand each other. Long live Republika Srpska, long live the Serbian people, long live Serbia, long live President Trump and the United States of America," said Dodik.

More than 500 pilots were rescued in the Operation Halyard - Air Bridge, carried out by the forces of the Yugoslav Army in the homeland, under the command of General Dragoljub Draža Mihailović, and sixty allied aviators in Boljanić.

Operation Air Bridge was the largest operation to rescue American soldiers outside the front lines in 1944 and 1945.

In mid-October 1944, under pressure from partisan forces, the Supreme Command of the Yugoslav Army in the homeland moved from Serbia to eastern Bosnia, and an airfield was built on Mount Ozren, near the village of Boljanić, near Doboj, from October 22 to November 1, 1944.

The commemoration of this historical event of republican importance is organized by the Committee of the Government of Republika Srpska for nurturing the tradition of liberation wars.
