DOBOJ, MAY 14 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that there is no security crisis in BiH, as some are trying to present, but rather an ongoing attempt to ensure the marginalization of the Serb and Croat peoples.
"If anyone thinks that Serbs will accept being marginalized, having their constitutional rights taken away, and that this is the way BiH will be built, they are gravely mistaken," Dodik told reporters in Doboj.
He emphasized that the Serb and Croat peoples feel increasingly humiliated and oppressed, which is also evident in the breakdown of dialogue between Bosniak and Croat parties within the Federation of BiH.
"The domination being pushed through the dictate of an unelected foreigner, supported by the Bosniak political elite, and the acceptance by Bosniaks to carry out prosecutions based on decisions with no legal authority, is causing further destabilization," Dodik said.
He warned that without a solution, this could lead to even greater disagreements within BiH.
The president of Srpska ruled out any possibility of a security threat.
"BiH institutions are being used to demonize the political leadership from Srpska, with the primary goal of unitarizing BiH. That’s why we wanted to have a discussion about all of this. If the conflict lies in misunderstanding—although there is no actual conflict—then the best course is to stick to the Constitution," Dodik said.
He pointed out that there has never truly been an agreement in BiH, but rather coercion through international bodies and the imposition of solutions detrimental to Srpska and the Serb people.
"With the arrival of Christian Schmidt, this pressure has intensified. The way to resolve this crisis is to annul everything Schmidt has done and, based on that, sit down and agree on how to proceed," Dodik said.
