BANJA LUKA, MARCH 24 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said that the Republika Srpska Election Commission will be formed next month.
He noted that the Electoral Law previously adopted by the National Assembly will be implemented in Srpska.
"We will be ready by the fall, and Srpska will have its election commission that will call elections for the president and parliament of Republika Srpska," Dodik said at a press conference in Banjaluka.
He added that a public call should be announced and that people who meet the requirements will come forward to become members of the Republika Srpska Election Commission.
Dodik pointed out that Republika Srpska does not dispute the fact that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH will conduct elections for a member of the BiH Presidency and members of the House of Representatives.
He pointed out that, through foreign pressure, contrary to the law, constitution, and the Dayton Agreement, the CEC was given the authority to conduct all elections, thus controlling the entire electoral process. He stressed that Republika Srpska only wants to return this jurisdiction to Srpska.
