DODIK: SRPSKA DOES NOT GIVE UP ON BEING PART OF MILITARY ALLIANCE OF SERBIA AND HUNGARY

BELGRADE, APRIL 19 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that Republika Srpska would not deviate from the new constitution, nor from being part of the military alliance of Serbia and Hungary, and that a letter would be sent regarding this in the next few days.

"In that military alliance, we also see the issue of internal security. We have the resources and in this respect we can cooperate and have joint exercises with the police of Hungary and Serbia," Dodik told "Večernje Novosti".

He pointed out that the opposition in Srpska is not participating in the adoption of the new constitution because it listens to Sarajevo and reminded that Republika Srpska has the right to an army and border police according to Dayton and the Constitution.

"We are not asking for anything new. It is an important request for a referendum to be held before the adoption of the Constitution, and that will be considered," said Dodik.

He added that there is an interesting proposal from the public hearings that the referendum should be held on January 9 and stressed that it will be considered.

Answering the question of how the Dodik family celebrates Easter, Dodik said that the Easter holidays are very important and that everyone looks forward to them.

"We want the Easter holidays to be spent in peace. They will not arrest me! Easter is the most joyous Christian holiday and I want our people to gather in churches. Christ is risen!" said the President of Srpska.
