DOBOJ, MAY 14 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik sent a message to the parties that did not respond to the invitation for today’s meeting in Doboj, stating that Srpska remains open to dialogue whenever they are ready.

Dodik said that Srpska clearly understands and takes note of their refusal to engage in talks.

"We offered a declaration and believe there is not much ambiguity. We reaffirmed the territorial integrity and sovereignty of BiH in line with the BiH Constitution," Dodik said after the meeting of party representatives.

He emphasized that those who failed to attend the meeting are, in fact, the ones not respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of BiH as defined by its Constitution.

Dodik noted that the declaration also included other outstanding issues related to BiH’s path toward the EU.

He stressed that they wanted to inform their partners about the coalition agreement in Germany, which advocates halting EU enlargement until internal reforms are completed—specifically, the abolition of consensus-based decision-making and the introduction of majority voting.

"As far as I know, most countries do not support that," Dodik pointed out.

He questioned the rationale behind working on European matters if EU accession is to be suspended.

"Why should we give up a part of our sovereignty when there’s not even a hint of when the EU’s internal problems will be resolved?" Dodik asked.

He stressed that no one should be naïve or anyone’s subject—not even the EU’s.

"BiH’s path to the EU is not in question, but of course, the enthusiasm for it is fading. Even Europeans themselves are losing the will for the EU," Dodik concluded.
