MOSCOW, MAY 27 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik stated that Serbs have the right to fight for the interests of their own people, which Russia, as a global power, understands very well. Dodik said that all sovereigntist leaders around the world fight for the interests of their own people and state, which is why the question is raised why Serbs should not be able to do the same. "The primary interest of the British and Western countries is their own national and state interest. They have merely wrapped it in a globalist veneer, claiming to be the bearers or heralds of certain freedoms, saying that people should renounce their identity and states in order to belong to some happy community that they promote to us," Dodik said, adding that this has proven to be falsehood and cynicism. According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin and all sovereigntist leaders today are simply fighting for the interests of their own people and their own states, which is entirely normal. Noting that Americans do the same, Dodik recalled that Germany, the instigator of two world wars, united West and East Germany under the slogan "one people, one state". "So why should it be problematic if we say one people, one state?" Dodik asked. In an interview with media from Republika Srpska, Dodik stressed that Russia, as a major country with vast intellectual, political, economic, strategic, military, and other capabilities, has understood this very well. He emphasized that Russia is a superpower that does not use all of its capabilities to impose its way of life on others, as the West does - something Serbs have experienced firsthand. Dodik stated that credit for Russia's political, economic, and military success belongs to its president, Vladimir Putin, who succeeded in restoring dignity to the Russian people. "He restores dignity to all, small and large peoples of the world, who wish to fight for their sovereignty and identity," Dodik said. Dodik emphasized that the Minsk Agreement was used as a setup to arm Ukraine and to prepare the West to wage war against Russia through Ukraine. He added that, for that reason, it is impossible to reject one Putin in favour of figures such as Kaja Kallas or Marta Kos, who fail to recognize that Europe’s militarized structure has subjected Europe to long-term periods of destabilization.
