DODIK: REVEAL NAMES AND MOTIVES OF THOSE WHO PLANNED ASSASSINATION

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 23 /SRNA/ –Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has stated today that he does not feel threatened following information about a planned assassination attempt against him, but emphasized that the names and motives of those involved must be revealed quickly, publicly, and clearly.

“I do not feel threatened. I feel very safe being protected by the police of Republika Srpska and Serbia. I have no fear, but it is indicative that some people are willing to spend money on such things. We’ll see how it all unfolds. Anyone from Srpska who would consider similar action against a politician in the Federation of BiH would be punished harshly,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He claimed that the individual who gathered people in Konjic is known, as well as the fact that one million Euros were secured and shooters were hired from Novi Pazar and among Muslim criminal figures from BiH.

“They had the task to carry out the assassination somewhere on the territory of Serbia. In the meantime, one of the suspects from Novi Pazar has been detained, while the other is in prison in Rijeka. What interests me is the motive for the attempted assassination. I can’t believe we are entering such a realm, but I don’t want to dramatize anything,” Dodik added.
