DODIK: RECONSIDER POSITION ON EARLY ELECTIONS, AS THERE IS NO UNITY

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 23 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik announced that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will tomorrow reconsider its earlier conclusion rejecting early elections for president of Srpska, since there is no unity among political parties on this issue.

"With regret we note that political actors within the National Assembly have chosen not to respect the conclusions on not holding elections, which was only possible if all political factors in Srpska were united on this matter.

Unfortunately, we see a coalition between Bosniaks in BiH and the opposition in Srpska, which is announcing participation in these elections," Dodik stated at a press conference in Banja Luka following sessions of the SNSD Executive Committee and Presidency.

He explained that the Central Election Commission of BiH schedules elections, sets deadlines, and issues instructions for their implementation, adding that it is important for the National Assembly of Srpska to once again take a position on the matter.

"If there is no readiness in Republika Srpska for everyone to respect these positions, then all other political parties should be allowed to clearly state their stance on the issue," Dodik stressed.

He emphasized that it is unnatural for the conclusions of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska not to be respected.
