DODIK PROUD OF GOING TO MOSCOW TO ATTEND VICTORY DAY

BELGRADE, MAY 7 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik says that by attending the Victory Day in Moscow, Srpska officials and he want make Srpska visible, which also sends a strong message that Russia, as the guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement, understands what is happening in Republika Srpska and BiH.

He added that Russia demonstrated the above mentioned best with its behaviour at the UN Security Council session when the Russian representative left the session while Christian Schmidt was speaking.

"We will be visible there in every way," said Dodik, noting that Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić and the Serb member and chairperson of the BiH Presidene Željka Cvijanović will also be in Moscow.

He says he is proud of being invited and going to Russia because you cannot go there as an ordinary walker, you have to receive an invitation from the Kremlin, while the opposition was not invited.

Dodik has stated that he is glad to have the opportunity to participate in joint meetings of a significant number of leaders, such as the presidents of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, China Xi Jinping, Cuba Miguel-Diaz Canel, as well as from South America, Slovakia Prime Ministers Robert Fico and representatives of more than half of the UN member states.

He has pointed out that the marking of Victory Day aims to pay tribute to the significance of the total Russian suffering in the Second World War, when the Soviet Union lost 28 million people. In Berlin alone, he says, it lost 300,000 Red Army soldiers, which in terms of the number of dead is more or very close to that of all Western allies together in the Second World War.

Dodik added that the Serb people suffered in almost the same percentage as the Russian people.

The president of Srpska says he is therefore grateful to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is a timeless political figure who stopped the further collapse of Russia's power by the morbid West, which aimed to control Russia's natural resources.

He stated that Putin was right when he launched a special military operation in Ukraine, recalling how former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other Western officials deceived Russia with the Minsk agreement, which they later said was a bluff to give Ukraine time to arm itself.

Dodik has pointed out that this is why he supports all the goals that Russia and Putin set at the beginning of the special operation, and that he is convinced that these goals will be achieved.
