KOSTAJNICA, JUNE 13 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik presented the Order of Njegoš First Class in Kostajnica to representatives of the wood processing company "Foresta", which is celebrating 25 years of successful operations today.
The award was accepted by "Foresta" director Svetozar Stanisavljević at a ceremony marking the company’s quarter-century anniversary.
The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, also attended the ceremony.
"Foresta" is a successful company that exports to numerous European countries, as well as to China and Japan, with its main foreign market products being veneer and wood slats produced using state-of-the-art Austrian technology.
The Stanisavljević family, which owns the company, has been engaged in business for decades. The company "Foresta" has operated in its current organizational form since 2000 and, through continuous investment in development and modernization, has grown over 25 years from a small firm with just six employees into a modern and well-respected enterprise.
"Foresta" representatives invited Dodik to today’s ceremony in appreciation of the assistance he provided in 2014, helping them recover after severe floods.
It was Dodik who, in September 2015, officially opened a new production facility of the wood processing company "Foresta" worth two million BAM, part of which was financed through a loan from the Investment and Development Bank of Republika Srpska.
