DODIK - LAVROV MEETING IN MOSCOW

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 9 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik is meeting Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov today in Moscow.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the two officials are expected to discuss strengthening the Russia - Republika Srpska partnership, post-conflict resolution issues in BiH, situation in the Western Balkans.

“Political dialogue with Republika Srpska is intensive and regular,” the statement said.

The Ministry emphasized that Russia strongly condemns the West’s attempts to use dishonest methods to remove the president of Republika Srpska from the political arena, and that Moscow supports returning the situation in BiH to a lawful and democratic path.

“This requires the immediate closure of the Office of the High Representative, which has become the main source of problems in BiH, the restoration of direct dialogue among the parties within BiH, and an end to West’s interference in BiH’s internal affairs,” the statement added.
