BUDAPEST, JUNE 4 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik says that the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković is acting unilaterally and is, through his actions, doing his best job to undermine BiH, and is, in the long term, excellent for Serb national interests.

"He has disrupted the functioning of joint institutions because he acts alone, unilaterally, and has lost the trust of both Croats and Muslims, and completely lost the trust of Serbs," Dodik told the press from Republika Srpska in Budapest.

Dodik emphasized that what Konaković says does not represent the policy of BiH.

"What Konaković is doing as a minister. A minister of what? Of his personal fiefdom? You are truly a minister if you have the consent given by Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks to speak on their behalf. If you don’t have consent from all three peoples, you cannot speak. It's neither wise nor constitutional to present only your personal opinion. If you do that, you are acting unilaterally," Dodik said.

Dodik added that Konaković's unilateral actions are actually beneficial for Republika Srpska.

"That's why we will support him remaining as minister. He’s the best person for dismantling BiH," Dodik said.

When asked about reports that even federal media noticed he /Dodik/ had more bilateral meetings than Konaković, Dodik responded that he heard Konaković was in Priština at the invitation of a gender centre.

"Konaković is, in the long run, a great asset for Serbs' national interests," Dodik emphasized.

The president of Srpska also stated that he has no obligation to follow the policy of BiH, because such a policy doesn’t even exist.

"There is no policy of BiH. Remember just a few years ago how the internatonals were obsessed with pushing for all sorts of strategies in BiH. Hundreds of strategies, most of which have lost significance and no longer even exist. No one asks for them anymore," Dodik said.
