BANJA LUKA, APRIL 5 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik says that Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation have very intensive cooperation and a high level of understanding on all issues, as well as a high level of support in political, economic, and trade matters.
Dodik also expressed gratitude to individuals from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow to whom he presented medals today, acknowledging the successful cooperation that has been ongoing for years.
"This is how I want to show appreciation and demonstrate our commitment to making this cooperation even better," said Dodik today during the ceremony of awarding decorations to Russian representatives.
He emphasized that Srpska considers the international sanctions against Russia, its individuals, and the state unfair.
Dodik also reminded that officials from Srpska have traveled to the Russian Federation and ensured that cooperation was never interrupted.
"Similarly, people from Russia in Srpska have been a constant presence, serving as proof of the close relations we want to build and strengthen," said Dodik.
Dodik emphasized that Srpska supports President Vladimir Putin.
"He is a global, world leader, one of the most important in the world today, and he belongs to the Russian people and the Russian state. He has managed to preserve Russia through all turbulent and uncertain times, defending it on the international political stage," said the President of Srpska.
According to him, Russia has regained its position as a great global power, contributing to its ability to bear the title of a civilized state, as it rightly sets values.
He reminded that Putin said at the Munich Conference that the behavior of the West based on the principle of globalism is unacceptable.
Dodik says that it is particularly important that Putin took decisive action to protect the Russian people in Ukraine from dictatorship and harassment, as well as the belittling and abolition of national and other characteristics that are important for the Russian people.
"Those who know this know that the special military operation is being carried out in an area predominantly inhabited by Russians, and I believe that through the efforts of the Russian Federation and the initiatives provided by President Donald Trump, a stable and lasting peace will be achieved in that region in the near future," Dodik said.
Dodik also said that in these challenging times for the Russian Federation, support for Srpska has never ceased.
He said that, as president, he wanted to present recognitions to the heads of ministry in Moscow on behalf of Republika Srpska as a sign of gratitude for the cooperation.
"I was especially impressed by the fact I realized during my recent visit to Moscow that despite Moscow being a megacity, it is today the most stable and safest large city in the world," Dodik said.
He said that the members of the Moscow ministry showed interest in the work of the police of Srpska and helped with their teams and presence to strengthen the belief that a stable Police of Republika Srpska is being built.
"Thanks to our police, Banja Luka is the most stable and safest city in the region," Dodik said.
Dodik congratulated all members of the Ministry in Moscow and conveyed, as he said, the love that Srpska has for the Russian Federation and the Russian people.
"We will continue to strengthen our relations and will always be good partners. We need understanding and support. Thank you; travel safely and happily to your homes. We will be there on May 9 to commemorate 70 years of victory over fascism, and it will be another opportunity for us to meet. May you be alive and well. Long live Republika Srpska, long live Serbia, and long live the Russian Federation," Dodik said.
