BANJA LUKA, APRIL 6 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, says that he will not betray the people and that he will not step down as long as he has the support of the people. He also emphasized that the politically motivated court proceedings and the abuse of the Court of BiH are unacceptable.
“And if you attack the president, whoever he may be, you attack Republika Srpska. Whoever he may be, it doesn't matter, I won't always be president, but I still intend to be because I have support,” Dodik emphasized.
He reiterated that he is not Republika Srpska, but that he represents Republika Srpska according to the current Constitution.
He also says he is not like the opposition, which wants power without having support.
“I don’t need that. I will step down. But as long as I have support, I will be here,” Dodik told reporters after a meeting with His Eminence Metropolitan Efrem in Banjaluka.
Dodik emphasized that recent polls show he has the support of 62 percent of citizens and stressed that he will not betray them and will not step down.
“Now, am I supposed to betray these 62 percent because of some frustrated Crnadak, Borenović, that parade leader, the president of the PDP, or some confused president of the SDS, or the arrogant Božović and the one who just jumped into parliament, I don’t even know them all by name? Am I supposed to respect them and disregard these 62 percent? Of course, I won’t do that,” Dodik said.
He expressed confidence that he has the support of all other structures in society, including in education, adding that he does not count “teacher Jelena Trivić.
“We have been very active recently, and we will continue with that activity. As for the orgy in Sarajevo, like 'arrest him,' 'bind him,' 'bring him,' 'do this to him,' and so on, that is part of their frustration. This is about the abuse of the Court of BiH, and we do not accept that abuse,” emphasized Dodik.
He added that court proceedings against him are purely a political process, a joint criminal enterprise by politicians like those currently leading the Federation and BiH, and the prosecutors they have installed there, who largely belong to the wartime structure of Alija Izetbegović's intelligence service.
”They were all accepted, pushed to go through some USAID courses, completed those courses, and were inserted into the judicial structures, the prosecutor’s office, and the court,” said Dodik.
He added that now people from U.S. President Donald Trump's administration say that the USAID is a criminal organization and that its operations should be banned.
“And we are supposed to accept their ways of making life difficult for Republika Srpska,” said Dodik.
