BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 18 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik says he will keep acting in accordance with the office given to him by the people and will represent Republika Srpska in the best possible way.

Dodik emphasized that today's special session of the National Assembly is aimed at preventing official Sarajevo from "partying within the republican institutions."

He explained that the temporary acting president will take over the formal-legal duties within the presidential competences, and that this decision does not represent his political end, but rather gives him motivation to fight even harder for the ultimate goal – an independent Republika Srpska.

Didik cited in an interview with Glas Srpske that /Serb member of the Presidency/ Željka Cvijanović should not serve as acting president, and that there is a high possibility that snap presidential elections will not be held at all. If that happens, he added, it would not be linked with the temporary measure in case of a judgment against him the Constitutional Court of BiH could hand down.

Dodik reminded of an attack on Srpska constitutional order, orchestrated by "certain decadent forces gathered around people from Sarajevo and parts of the international community, supported by Joseph Biden administration."

"An unconstitutional act was committed that still exists through coercion, reflected in the activities of an unconstitutional and illegal court and an unappointed foreigner", Dodik noted.

He also stated that no one in Republika Srpska wanted snap elections, and that this too was imposed, adding that the public needs to recognise that Sarajevo is trying to control this process.

Dodik believes it will not be technically possible to hold these elections and that they are unnecessary, which is why the proposal was made for the National Assembly to appoint someone to temporarily perform presidential duties.

"This will stabilize the situation, and at the same time, it offers a chance that, through the expected BiH Constitutional Court’s decision on temporary measure, which is constantly being delayed, we get an opportunity to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, which is full of cases rejecting practices like the one being carried out in BiH", said Dodik.

Dodil has mentioned that he has no reason to trust the Constitutional Court of BiH, as it has no intention of respecting the Constitution.

"There is something entirely different there. There is hatred toward Serbs, toward Republika Srpska, and everything it represents", Dodik said.
