DODIK: HUNGARY UNDERSTANDS POSITION OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BUDAPEST, JUNE 5 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has stated today in Budapest that it is extremely important that Hungary understands the position of Republika Srpska within BiH.

"Hungary’s policy is peace-oriented, and that has been proven. The goal of such a policy is to achieve agreement within BiH, and our cooperation with Hungary is at the highest level," Dodik told reporters after a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

He emphasized that the meeting focused on previously agreed projects and initiatives, and that their implementation is progressing very well.

"We discussed economic, political, and strategic issues. We talked about new forms of cooperation and a set of economic policies, which is highly significant," Dodik added.

He assessed that cooperation between Republika Srpska and Hungary is steadily improving.

"We also discussed energy, education, strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism, and intensifying joint police training so we can act preventively against terrorism, which is a global issue," Dodik said.
