DODIK: GOVERNMENT WILL BE CONFIRMED BY WEDNESDAY

PALE, MARCH 16 /SRNA/ - The president of Alliance of Independent Social Democrats /SNSD/ Milorad Dodik stated that the Government of Republika Srpska will be confirmed in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska by Wednesday, March 18, assessing that this is a technical matter.

Following the resignation of Prime Minister Savo Minić, Dodik emphasized that there are few ruling structures in the region, and even in Europe, that could withstand such pressures. However, he added that the authorities in Republika Srpska will demonstrate stability and that the parliamentary majority will complete the confirmation of the Government by Wednesday.

He explained that this technical step was initiated in order to remove certain dilemmas, since Republika Srpska plans to enter the international capital market, and it was decided to resolve the issue now to avoid any disputes later.

"So that later we can be completely legitimate in that regard. Those in the opposition can say whatever they want," Dodik told reporters in Pale.

He stressed that the ruling coalition has enough votes in the National Assembly for the Government of Republika Srpska to be confirmed in the same composition, with Minić as prime minister and all previously appointed ministers.
