BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 25 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that the inaugural session of the Republika Srpska National Assembly would be held by November 20 if the confirmed final election results were announced by November 4, and that Republika Srpska would have a government in place by the end of December.
"We will hold a session of the National Assembly by November 20, at which the president of Republika Srpska will be sworn in. By the end of December, we will not only have a government in place, but also the budget for next year adopted, along with everything else that serious states like ours do," Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka.
He said that, as far as BiH was concerned, it was an abomination, and that it would become clear that even after these elections, there was no political will or unity in BiH for the country to exist.
"We have no intention of forming a coalition with anyone. Our only intention is, as the political subjects from Republika Srpska elected and supported by the majority, to assume responsibility for Republika Srpska, and that is what we will do next year," Dodik emphasized.
He said that the SNSD would maintain its partnership with the HDZ, which was not directed against Bosniaks but against their policies aimed at unitarization, which neither the SNSD nor the HDZ supported.
"They acted against Croats and their right to choose their own representatives, which is unacceptable to Croats. If they are willing, we want to sit down and talk. We cannot accept that an illegitimate High Representative has issued decisions that the judiciary is acting on," Dodik said.
He said that all of this must be withdrawn and declared null and void if there is to be any kind of dialogue.
Commenting on the verification and announcement of the general election results, Dodik said that nothing new had happened.
"We are now entering the appeals period, and nothing will be finalized for another 10 days. This shows just how much of a farce the whole thing is, in terms of introducing new technologies," Dodik said, adding that the process was following its own course.
The Central Election Commission of BiH determined and announced last night the results of the 2026 general elections in BiH, held on October 4.
