DODIK: EXCLUDING SERBIA AND REPUBLIKA SRPSKA MEANS LASTING INSTABILITY IN THE BALKANS

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 18 /SRNA/ – SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that the Balkans without the Serbs and without the two Serbian states, Serbia and Republika Srpska, would be nothing more than a zone of permanent instability.

Dodik said that the decision by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić not to take part in another Brussels meeting was rational and responsible.

“It is impossible to seriously discuss the Western Balkans without the presence of its largest and most influential country—Serbia. Talks without Serbia are not dialogue, but a show,” Dodik wrote on the social network X.

He added that without Serbia there can be no regional stability, nor any meaningful discussion about the region’s future.

“For years, Serbia and the Serbian people have been misled when it comes to European integration, despite having earned progress through concrete results,” Dodik stated.

He stressed that this is the result of short-sightedness and a lack of vision among current European elites, driven by bureaucratic and neoliberal interests rather than the interests of Europe and the peoples of the Western Balkans.

“What is the Balkans without the Serbs, the most numerous people, and without Serbia and Republika Srpska, the two Serbian states? Nothing but a zone of permanent instability,” Dodik pointed out.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić did not attend the intergovernmental conference on the Western Balkans held yesterday in Brussels.
