DODIK: EU CANNOT DEAL WITH THIS REGION, U.S. AND RUSSIA SHOULD FORM COMMISSION FOR THE BALKANS

HAN PIJESAK, OCTOBER 7 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that the EU no longer has the capacity to deal with this region and that what it has done so far has been wrong, which is why he proposed that the United States and Russia establish a commission for the Balkans.

“It is not rational to accept that the French should shape us here, while their prime minister has just resigned. The German leadership has made completely unreasonable decisions — even former Chancellor Angela Merkel said yesterday that she wanted to establish dialogue with Russia and prevent the armed conflict in Ukraine, but others did not want that,” Dodik told reporters in Han Pijesak.

President Dodik noted that he had previously discussed this matter with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and pointed out that Hungary is very interested in helping and understands the situation in the Balkans much better than the Scandinavian countries.

He stressed that BiH is stuck in political processes and problems.

“For 30 years, we have not had a single reason to see any benefit for BiH. Are we supposed to wait another 30 empty years that will bring us nothing? On top of that, the Dayton Agreement was destroyed by the political Muslims together with liberal administrations in Europe, under the mentorship of the Biden administration,” Dodik said.

The President of Srpska pointed out that the euphoria surrounding the EU should be abandoned, as the EU is unable to solve even its own problems.

“If it cannot solve its own problems, how can it offer us anything?” Dodik remarked.

He added that there are alternative markets to the EU and that Srpska is not lost in that regard.

“Our connection with Europe remains, but all serious people in Europe are worried about the state of the EU and the coming winter. It is clear that they cannot defeat Russia,” Dodik declared.
