DODIK: ESTABLISH A DEPARTMENT TO COMBAT DISINFORMATION AND LIES AGAINST SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has stated today that it is necessary to establish a department that will fight disinformation and lies, noting that systematic untruths against Srpska originate from the Federation of BiH.

"The entire media sector in the Federation of BiH is focused on a negative narrative against Srpska, and we observe that a significant number of important people consume this news and slowly adjust their behavior accordingly," Dodik said.

He pointed out that 1,000 news stories are broadcast daily across BiH, 87 percent of which are negative.

"This Government must change that narrative, reduce the level of lies and disinformation to a minimum, and address every single case. If we fail to do this, we will become victims of our inaction in this area," Dodik said.

He added that in many countries, departments are being created to counter disinformation and lies targeting certain entities, such as governments, and it has been proven that these falsehoods inflict the greatest damage on government structures.
