DODIK CONGRATULATES STUDENT LIST ON VICTORY

BELGRADE, OCTOBER 25 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik congratulated the Student List on its victory in the elections in Serbia, stressing that Republika Srpska and Serbia would continue moving forward together.

Dodik said that the citizens of Serbia and all political actors had once again demonstrated the democratic character of one of Europe’s oldest state-building peoples.

He particularly thanked outgoing Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić for the cooperation and understanding he had shown toward Republika Srpska over the years.

"This was not merely political support - it was an understanding of the same people, same destiny and same interests," Dodik stressed.

Dodik said that Republika Srpska and Serbia would continue moving forward together, maintaining the closest ties and the best possible relations.

"In cooperation and mutual support on all issues - regional and international - at every forum and in every institution. Because Serbs on both sides of the Drina are one people, and that is how it will remain," Dodik stressed.

He noted that the voice of the people is the voice of God.

"The citizens of Republika Srpska and Serbia have made their choice. We move forward - together," Dodik reiterated.

Aleksandar Vučić, head of the United Serbia electoral list, said tonight that the Student List had won Serbia’s snap parliamentary elections.
