BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik congratulated Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the State of Israel and its people on the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah.
"Our constant attention is focused on the fate and well-being of the State of Israel and all Jews around the world. Our continued activities and visits to your country over the past several years have enabled us to be aware not only of the hostile environment your state and people have been facing, but also of the resilience and courage of the Israeli people. Since October 7, 2023, the State of Israel has been going through one of the most difficult periods since its establishment in 1948.
Republika Srpska has stood firmly with Israel during those moments that changed the history of the Middle East, and since then has supported Israel's right to defend itself. We hope that the coming New Year will be celebrated in an even better atmosphere of peace and prosperity for the State of Israel," Dodik said in his message.
He stressed that Republika Srpska firmly stands with Israel in these challenging times, times of fighting terrorism, and that it supports every struggle and effort aimed at ensuring peace, stability and security for the State of Israel and its people.
"I also take this opportunity to wish all Jews and Jewish communities in Republika Srpska and BiH all the best, with the hope that they will celebrate the upcoming holidays surrounded by family and friends, in health, happiness and prosperity," President Dodik cited in his congratulatory message.
