DODIK: U.S. VISIT IS SUCCESS THAT CHANGED HOW SRPSKA IS SEEN

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 6 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik described his visit to the United States as very successful, saying he had spoken with many governors, business people and influential figures in US politics during his stay.

Dodik said that over the past two days he had met many people from US political life and from the Serb community. He described them as patriots who wanted to keep the strongest possible ties between their homeland and their new home.

"As for people in American public life, they already know a fair amount about Srpska. I think we have managed to make a major breakthrough in how they see the way Republika Srpska functions and the injustice it has suffered over the past 20 years," Dodik told RTRS.

He said Srpska would maintain the best possible contacts in the United States.

Dodik said he had met many business people and governors at Mar-a-Lago and told them about Republika Srpska, and they had all asked questions about it.

"That is the whole point of being here," Dodik said.

He added that Mar-a-Lago was synonymous with political gatherings, talks and deals, which was why it had been important for Republika Srpska to be presented there in particular.

"We had the opportunity to hear Republika Srpska mentioned as a partner, and to encourage everyone who wants to cooperate with us to do so," Dodik said.

At Mar-a-Lago, Dodik attended a conference of the MAGA movement organized by Donald Trump's Republican Party in the main hall of the Palm Beach resort.
