BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik assessed that the decision of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH on early elections for the president of the Republika Srpska is the latest scam of political Sarajevo to the Serb people, stressing that the SNSD will not participate, and that other parties should do the same.
"SNSD will not register for the elections and will not participate. Elections are not a true aspiration or demand of Republika Srpska. No one is asking for elections, and that was imposed by political Sarajevo," said Dodik at a press conference in Banja Luka after the session of the Main Board of the Republican Youth Organization of SNSD.
Dodik said that the elections do not make sense.
"People will refuse to participate," Dodik pointed out.
The CEC of BiH has decided that the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska will be held on November 23.
Republika Srpska, according to the conclusions of the National Assembly of August 22, rejected the possibility of holding early elections for the president of Republika Srpska and requested that all authorities of Srpska and local self-government units refrain from undertaking any actions related to their implementation.
At that time, the Republika Srpska National Assembly adopted a decision to call a referendum regarding the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH on the termination of his mandate, setting the referendum date for October 25.
The referendum question reads: "Do you accept the decisions of the unelected foreigner, Christian Schmidt, and the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH issued against the President of Republika Srpska, as well as the decision of the CEC to terminate the mandate of the President of Srpska Milorad Dodik?"
