GRADIŠKA, AUGUST 31 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said that the BiH budget, which is scheduled to be discussed tomorrow in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, was proposed in violation of the Constitution and the law, and called on Serb MPs not to support the document.
“That budget violates several articles of the Constitution. Cultural institutions do not fall under the jurisdiction of the BiH level. They want to impose that on us,” Dodik told reporters in Gradiška.
He stressed that, in addition, it is important for Serb MPs not to accept an increase in defense spending.
“This would all come at the expense of Republika Srpska’s revenues, and I believe that Serb MPs, regardless of which political party they belong to, should reject it,” Dodik said.
The President of Republika Srpska pointed out that, in this case, what matters is not Serb unity but rationality.
“I don’t want to make predictions, but I believe that this budget will not pass. If it passes in the House of Representatives, it will not in the House of Peoples, because the SNSD has three representatives there,” Dodik said.
