BANJA LUKA, APRIL 26 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik says that the SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović wants to achieve his father’s wartime goals with the help of Christian Schmidt, but that he will never succeed.
Dodik points out that the SDA, led by Alija Izetbegović, adopted the Islamic Declaration as its political program and that with the conclusions the party adopted yesterday, they confirmed that they did not abandon that platform.
"They did not get what they wanted in Dayton, but faith in BiH remained. Their vision of BiH is completely different from ours," Dodik wrote on X.
He emphasized that the SDA demonstrates on a daily basis that it is a party of radical Islamic provenance, exhibiting all the elements of chauvinism.
"Bound by the positions of the Islamic Declaration, the SDA displays undisguised hatred toward Serbs, as well as Croats, whose existence in BiH is seen as possible only if they accept Bosniak domination," Dodik said.
He pointed out that for the SDA, BiH exists only where they hold power, adding that in Republika Srpska, they are a marginal political factor, which is why they call for international interventionism in an attempt to destroy it and bring it into a vassal position.
"Bakir wants to achieve Alija Izetbegović’s wartime goals with the help of Schmidt. He will not achieve them, neither today nor ever. With their shameless idolization of a foreigner, the SDA proves that it is politically useless and incompetent, " Dodik emphasized.
According to him, Alija "sacrificed peace for the sake of BiH" and secured 23 percent of the territory for the Bosniaks.
"Today, Bakir would once again sacrifice peace. The BiH that the SDA speaks of is a mere illusion, existing only in the hotheaded Sarajevo politicians," Dodik said.
He says that the institutions which the SDA is calling upon to arrest and persecute can exist only to the extent that Republika Srpska accepts their existence.
Dodik emphasized that the SDA and its ilk should know that Republika Srpska was neither created with their will nor with their assistance, and that it will not disappear because of their threats.
"The more they attack, the more fiercely we will defend it. The more they try to break it, the stronger, more united, and more determined Republika Srpska will become. Neither the SDA nor any foreign envoy will write our history. We are writing our history — by the will of the people, by the strength of the people, and in the name of the people," Dodik said.
