BANJALUKA, JANUARY 22 /SRNA/ – SNSD President Milorad Dodik has supported the initiative of US President Donald Trump to establish a Peace Committee, describing it as an effort to return politics to its fundamental purpose - peace, stability, and the protection of the interests of peoples, rather than the interests of various global bureaucracies and lobbying structures that have lived off other people’s crises for years without resolving a single one.
Dodik pointed out that Republika Srpska has long witnessed how, under the guise of so-called multilateralism, a network of quasi-institutions has operated not in the service of peoples, but as instruments of pressure where sovereignty was punished, electoral will annulled, and democratically elected leaders labeled simply because they refused to bow to defeated ideologies.
He stressed that this is why Trump’s message from Davos carries particular weight - that the world must stop being held hostage by deranged bureaucracies and activist apparatuses, and that states must regain the right to protect their borders, constitutional order and their people.
"This is not a threat to anyone - it is a return to reality," Dodik wrote on the social media platform X.
Dodik added that Europe today appears lost in its own hypocrisy.
"For decades, they lectured us on law and democracy, while supporting agendas of imposed ideologies, the dismantling of tradition, the destruction of Christian and family foundations of society, and the persecution of any politician or state that dared to say - enough is enough," Dodik stated.
He added that it was easy for them to play by the rules while power was exclusively in their hands, but now, as the world changes and global powers return to politics based on interests and reality, they suddenly invoke principles they were the first to violate.
"Republika Srpska knows very well what it means when others `interpret democracy` for you and `arrange society` on your behalf. That is why we understand and support every effort to return the world to common sense - peace through strength, stability through sovereignty, and the freedom of peoples to decide their own future," Dodik emphasized.
