BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said today in Banja Luka that the outcome of the BiH Court's second-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik is political, just as was the case with the first-instance verdict.
"Political decisions imply political judgments. We have many political battles ahead of us, and we intend to win them," Cvijanović said at a press conference in Banja Luka.
She emphasized that the Republika Srpska authorities have a solution, and that all citizens should be aware of it.
"This entire process has been politically staged and rigged from the start, involving a foreigner who acted without authorization, attempting to change the law through his decisions," Cvijanović explained.
According to her, the consequence of all this is a judiciary that has decided to accept that a foreigner in a country can impose laws and legal solutions, disregarding what is written in the Constitution of that country.
As the vice-president of the SNSD, Cvijanović stated that the party was, is, and will remain the strongest political organization.
The Appeals Chamber of the Court of BiH upheld the first-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, sentencing him to one year in prison and banning him from political activity for six years for "failing to comply" with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
