BANJA LUKA, JUNE 17 /SRNA/ – SNSD Vice President Željka Cvijanović said that BiH effectively lacks foreign policy and that SNSD, through clearly defined long-term programs, has succeeded in mitigating potential harm to Republika Srpska.
Cvijanović said that SNSD is building understanding with all relevant international actors and supports the positions of the new US administration, as clearly communicated through the UN Security Council.
"Those positions are that domestic institutions and representatives of the constituent peoples bear responsibility for political, economic, security and other processes, and that it is necessary to put an end to what this international supervision has become. Having long exceeded the bounds of supervision, it has turned into a monstrous structure that has caused more harm than good within BiH", Cvijanović said.
She added that SNSD takes a strategic approach to economic, social, infrastructure and other issues affecting Republika Srpska and BiH.
Cvijanović announced that she will soon travel to Israel on a friendly visit, building on the visit made by Milorad Dodik several months ago.
"I will meet with Israel's highest-ranking officials and have also been invited to speak as one of the keynote speakers at two conferences. I will use that opportunity to represent Republika Srpska in the best possible way and to further promote the themes and initiatives advanced by President Dodik", Cvijanović told reporters in Banja Luka following a session of the SNSD Main Board.
She emphasized the full support of the Republika Srpska Government and said that all officials serving at the BiH level can point to strong teamwork.
She noted that SNSD will enter the elections fully prepared, noting that the party's organizational structure is the strongest and most cohesive not only in Republika Srpska but throughout BiH.
She added that she expects further challenges within the BiH Presidency and will continue to rely on the support of patriotic forces in Republika Srpska, as expressed through the National Assembly.
"Our obligation is not only to promote patriotism but also to put it into practice through our daily work and activities. That is exactly what we are doing, and we are succeeding", Cvijanović stressed.
