CVIJANOVIĆ: DETERMINED TO CONTINUE ACHIEVING EXCELLENT ELECTION RESULTS

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ - The SNSD is committed to actively continuing to achieve excellent election results and strongly condemns the misuse of the judiciary at the BiH level for political purposes aimed at denying the electoral will of the citizens of Republika Srpska, SNSD Vice President Željka Cvijanović said today in Banja Luka.

“We have found ourselves in an uncomfortable situation for BiH, in which Christian Schmidt and the judiciary were used to secure a political verdict against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and to invalidate the electoral will of the people who elected their president,” said Željka Cvijanović at a press conference following the session of the SNSD Main Board.

She emphasized that this represents an attack on the institutions and the President of Republika Srpska.

"The SNSD rejects this kind of trial and verdict and strongly condemns the misuse of the judiciary for political purposes. In addition to the attempt to deny the electoral will of the citizens, which is an attack on the office of the president, our institutions, and citizens, there is an added dimension - this verdict is also an attack on the Constitutions of both BiH and Republika Srpska," said Cvijanović.
