BIJELJINA, OCTOBER 22 /SRNA/ – Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the BiH Presidency says there is a continuous effort directed at Republika Srpska to obstruct its plans, but that Republika Srpska has built and maintains friendships in international arena.
Cvijanović says these friendships include, among others, Hungary and Russia, and that with the arrival of a new U.S. administration, the things began to shift.
“When elections were held in the U.S.A we wanted to help bring change there as well, and we succeeded. We are pleased with the fact it is Donald Trump administration, in which we have confidence,” Cvijanović said at the public forum “Conversation with the President” in Bijeljina.
She noted that this is a time when international relations are being reshaped and new partnerships are being formed.
“You can never have high expectations in international relations. These are primarily interest-based partnerships,” Cvijanović stated.
She adds that where Srpska has partners, the diligent work is done on creating friendships.
She also remarked that Republika Srpska has long been pushed into a position of inequality under the guise of “you are all equal.”
“I believe the time is coming when Republika Srpska will be able to show that it has the right responses,” Cvijanović said
