BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 2 /SRNA/ – The Government of Republika Srpska today adopted information regarding Republika Srpska institutions’ multi-sector response concerning the construction of a radioactive waste disposal centre at the Čerkezovac site on Trgovska Gora in Croatia, with the aim of demonstrating the potential negative impact of its construction.
All ministries have been tasked with immediately beginning the preparation of expert analyses within the scope of their legal jurisdictions and authority, reads a statement of the Republika Srpska Government’s Public Relations Bureau.
"All ministries have been tasked with actively participating in the analysis and providing comments on the environmental impact study of the radioactive waste disposal centre, in such a way that, together with the Ministry for Spatial Planning, Construction, and Ecology, they will prepare a multi-sector response that will professionally and promptly challenge Croatia’s intent to construct the disputed nuclear facility on Trgovska Gora," the statement reads.
The Ministry for Spatial Planning, Construction, and Ecology has been tasked with informing the Republika Srpska Government about the activities undertaken.
