BUDIMIR: SRPSKA'S DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS HAVE BORNE FRUIT

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - Minister of the Interior Željko Budimir stated that the recent session of the UN Security Council demonstrated that the diplomatic activity of Republika Srpska has borne fruit.

"It is becoming clear that Republika Srpska and its leadership are not the source of the problem - the real issue lies in the attacks on the constitutional order and the attempts to deconstruct the status of the Serb people in BiH. However, that will not happen," Budimir emphasized.

Regarding Washington, Budimir noted that a more balanced approach is being established.

"There are three constituent peoples living in BiH, and the country is composed of two entities - a fact that could also be heard in the statement by the representative of the United States. There are no longer any ideological messages imposing political engineering in BiH, portraying Serbs as the only 'bad guys'," Budimir told reporters in Banja Luka.

He stressed that Moscow has always maintained a principled stance regarding the Dayton Peace Agreement, while China pointed out that the Office of the High Representative remains the main source of instability in BiH, as does the illegal so-called high representative.
