BANJA LUKA, May 13 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić has told SRNA that Bosniak political parties, the ones still beating war drums, do not want any agreement in BiH. Instead, they aim to change the government of Republika Srpska, using the international community and the opposition in Srpska to achieve this goal.
Stevandić emphasized that Bosniak parties have rejected any talks or peaceful solutions with the official representatives of Republika Srpska.
"Republika Srpska's call for dialogue among all parliamentary political parties in BiH has shown who is for conflict and who is for peace, who wants negotiations and who prefers tension. In this way, we have exposed everything clearly," said Stevandić, who is also the leader of United Srpska.
He stressed that the sovereignty of Republika Srpska and its government in its territory is unquestionable and incontestable, adding that the Srpska institutions have jurisdiction over every centimeter of its territory, as every part is registered as the ownership of Republika Srpska by the Geodetic Administration.
"This cannot be changed by any kind of force, legal or otherwise. Republika Srpska will continue to fight for its interests peacefully and democratically, while always showing that it stands for dialogue and negotiations, never for conflict," Stevandić stated.
He pointed out that even the United States, and certain countries with which Republika Srpska does not agree on some issues, advocate for political negotiations and agreements among local politicians.
"This proves that Republika Srpska is the only one following that kind of international agenda - whether American, European, or Russian - which calls for internal agreement," Stevandić said.
The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has called on the leaders of all parliamentary parties at the state level, both from the government and the opposition, to a meeting on May 14 in Doboj, in line with the messages sent during the UN Security Council session - that the solution to the constitutional and legal crisis in BiH must be found by local politicians.
