BAM 74 MILLION FOR 48 KILOMETERS OF GAS PIPELINE THROUGH FOUR MUNICIPALITIES

ŠEKOVIĆI, APRIL 23 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has stated today that at the meeting dedicated to the gasification of the eastern part of Srpska, the construction of the first phase of a 48-kilometer main gas pipeline for the municipalities of Šekovići, Han Pijesak, Vlasenica and Milići was discussed, which would cost about BAM 74 million.

"A few months ago we were here and said that we would do it. The Government of Srpska and the state authorities of Republika Srpska approved the funds and the project, and now the problem is property and legal relations," Dodik told reporters after the meeting in Šekovići.

He added that the contractor provided the material and installation elements.

"This is a fight and a race to resolve what is called economic security, and gas is something that represents one of the most significant energy potentials," Dodik stressed.

The President of Srpska said that before this meeting, he spoke with the mayor of Šeković, Miladin Lazić, about eight projects essential for the development of public and social life in this municipality.

Along with Dodik, the meeting on the start of gasification of the eastern part of Republika Srpska was attended by the Minister of Energy and Mining of Srpska Petar Đokić, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Savo Minić, the Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology Bojan Vipotnik, the general manager of "Sarajevo-gas" Nedeljko Elek, and the mayors of the municipalities Han Pijesak Slobodan Đurić, Vlasenica Miroslav Kraljević, Milići Marko Savić and Šekovići Miladin Lazić.

Representatives of the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property Legal Affairs and the company "Gasteh" from Inđija were also present.
