BAM 420 MILLION INCREASE PROPOSED

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 23 /SRNA/ – The Government of Republika Srpska adopted a revised version of the republican budget at today’s special session, projecting it at BAM 6.49 billion - an increase of 6.9 percent compared to the current budget framework, said Danijela Pejić, media advisor to the prime minister.

At a press conference in Banja Luka following the session, Pejić stated that BAM 420 million increase is primarily intended for a new round of salary increases.

The Government also adopted a Bill on Amendments to the Law on Police and Internal Affairs under urgent procedure, which includes the introduction of a reserve police.
